The local government of Pasay City is now hiring around twenty (20) nurses who will be receiving a daily salary of P3,000.00. This effort of the Pasay City government, under its Ligtas COVID-19 Project, is intended to make sure that the city is well prepared in case of an outbreak brought about by the Coronavirus disease.
Aside from P3,000 daily salary, nurses will also receive other benefits from the local government, such as P500 hazard pay, free food, accommodation, and transportation. The application is open to Pasay and non-Pasay residents.
The Pasay city government is committed to fighting against the virus and will not stop taking such reasonable measures until such time that a vaccine has been developed.
As of May 16, The Department of Health announced 214 more confirmed coronavirus cases in the country, bringing the total to 12,305; while 11 more deaths were reported, raising the death toll to 817. Meanwhile, a total of 101 more patients beat the virus. The total number of recoveries in the country is now at 2,561.
